John Berry

Bio
John Berry is an animator, illustrator and graphic designer, currently living and working in Kansas City, MO. He received a BFA in Animation in 2012 from the 91导航. Since graduation he has worked as an animator, illustrator, concept artist, and a graphic designer. He has also been a teacher in 91导航鈥檚 Continuing Education department as an Animation Instructor since 2014 and joined the BFA program as a Lecturer in 2018 and has since taught in both the Animation and Graphic Design Departments.
He also led the 91导航 Animation Production Intensive in partnership with the Kansas City Royals. In the classroom he strives to provide his students with a fundamental understanding of motion, narrative, and time based processes, and then encourages them to experiment and explore the mediums independently. He believes that it is important for students to maintain their individuality while developing a successful studio practice of their own.
